Since your team directly impacts employees’ coverage and their health and wellbeing, collaboration and attention to detail are vital to ensuring error-free work. An important part of your role is auditing your team’s work to identify and fix any discrepancies.

You approach each issue with care, sensitivity, and a personal touch. The work is constantly evolving, keeping you in continuous learning mode, which feels rewarding.

How does the Benefits Assist Team make a difference in clients’ and employees’ lives?

• One of this team’s most impactful success stories was helping a couple who were facing a $50,000 claim after a life-flighting emergency. The situation was particularly difficult due to their financial struggles. After months of aggressive collection attempts with no options for assistance, we worked with the state attorney general’s office and other representatives to secure a waiver for the bill based on their financial situation. The relief they felt when the bill was adjusted to $0 was incredibly rewarding and emotionally moving.


• Another fulfilling moment came from helping a member in the Hispanic community who didn’t speak English. Not only were we able to interpret for them, but we also advocated on their behalf, coordinating with the hospital and insurance company to ensure their needs were met. Helping this member navigate a challenging situation was a reminder of why we do this work.
