CBI CARES: Serving Our Community

At Creative Benefits, Inc., we have always believed in the importance of giving back to organizations that strengthen our community and make the world a better place. Over the years we’ve supported many charitable organizations.

In January of 2016, we decided to expand our philanthropic efforts by creating CBI Cares, a formal volunteering program. The mission of CBI Cares is to partner with nonprofits and match Creative Benefits employees with volunteer opportunities at charitable organizations our company supports. Creative Benefits employees each take at least one day a year of paid time off from work to volunteer on a range of hands-on projects.

Contributing to causes that strengthen our community and make the world a better place is very rewarding for Creative Benefits employees. Here are a few photos showing some of the projects Creative Benefits employees have taken on since we introduced CBI Cares. The smiles on everyone’s faces are proof that it feels good to give back!

McAuley House:

This women’s crisis center provides shelter and social services to homeless and medically fragile women.

Here, CBI Cares volunteers are scrubbing and rearranging furniture at McCauley House.

Meals on Wheels:

This meal delivery service distributes nutritious food and offers companionship to frail and homebound senior citizens.

Here, CBI Cares volunteers prepare and pack nourishing meals for delivery to participants.

Providence Animal Center (formerly Delaware County SPCA):

This rescue group helps protect abused and neglected animals and offers medical care, treatment, and adoption services.

Our CBI Cares volunteers mopped floors and cleaned windows to make the shelter sparkle. They also visited some furry friends.

Exceptional Care for Children:

Medically fragile children dependent on technology, such as feeding tubes, ventilators, and dialysis, can come here for skilled nursing, transition, and palliative care.

CBI Cares volunteers tended the plantings in front of the building, making the entrance more attractive for children, families, and visitors.

Purple Heart:

Veterans and their families receive a range of support services through Purple Heart. Donations of clothing and household goods help fund Purple Heart’s charitable programming.

Creative Benefits, Inc. employees held a company-wide donation drive, gathering over 70 bags of clothing and household items. Here, CBI Cares volunteers load the truck for delivery to the drop-off facility.

Greater Wilkes-Barre Association for the Blind:

This organization helps care for blind and visually impaired individuals and prevents vision loss through education and early detection.

CBI Cares volunteers provided administrative support in the Association for the Blind’s offices.
